Studies of D10(2420) and D2*(2460) mesons at HERA II. — •Andrii Verbytskyi — ZEUS Experiment, DESY, Notkestrasse 85, 22607 Hamburg, Germany
The production of the excited charm mesons D1(2420)0 and D2*(2460)0 in ep collisions was measured with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity 373pb−1. The masses, widths and helicity parameters of these resonances were determinated and compared with previous measurements, with theoretical expectations and with published ZEUS results of an independent sample with an integrated luminocity of 126pb−1. The measured D1(2420)0 with is found in both cases to be above the world average value. The measured D1(2420)0 helicity parameter allows for some mixing of S- and D- waves in its decay to D*±π±; however the result in also consistent with the prediction for a pure D-wave decay.
The results can also be compared with new high precision measurements by BABAR. A good agreement between the ZEUS and BABAR results is observed.
