Futures upgrades for the ATLAS detector. — •Sergio Grancagnolo — Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin, Germany

The successful first year of LHC run, and the first publications of new results with protons and heavy ions, marks the start of a new physics era. But this is only the beginning, since higher energy and luminosity are required in order to explore more deeply new physics scenarios. The studies for an ATLAS upgrade are already on-going, in order to cope with the improvements foreseen for LHC toward super-LHC. The insertion of a new B-layer, the IBL (Insertable B-Layer), closer to the interaction point, is the first of this steps. In this talk, on-going studies on the expected new performances, using simulations integrated in the ATLAS software, are presented.
