(contribution withdrawn) Modeling the galactic diffuse gamma-ray emission — •Andreas Hillert and Sabrina Casanova — MPIK Heidelberg

The diffuse gamma-ray emission in our Galaxy is produced by electrons interacting mainly with radiation fields and protons which interact with ambient gas. By simulating a population of galactic sources, which accelerate protons and electrons, randomly distributed in space and time following the populations of supernova remnants and pulsars at radio wavelengths, estimations of the diffuse gamma-ray emission at GeV and TeV energies can be made. The model prediction for two different regions of the Galaxy at l=344 longitude, b=0 latitude and at l=344 longitude, b=4 latitude will be exemplarily shown and compared to the prediction of the GALPROP model.
