New Trigger-Algorithms for the HADES-Detector — •Andreas Kopp, Ming Liu, Björn Spruk, Sören Lange, and Wolfgang Kühn — II. Physikalisches Institut, JLU Gießen, Heinrich-Buff-Ring 16, 35392 Gießen

For the upgrade of the HADES experiment, high data rates and sophisticated real time processing are foreseen. Thus, general purpose Compute Nodes based on FPGAs and modern network technologies have been designed. With these one is able to implement faster and more efficient algorithms for di-electron recognition designed in VHDL.

For the selection of electron candidate events the new trigger algorithm applies matching of the MDC track with RICH, Shower and TOF, even through the inhomogenous magnetic field. Software simulation results of the efficiency and trigger reduction factor for real data (Ar+KCl at 1.756 AGeV) will be reported. This work was supported in part by BMBF 06 GI 91081 and HIC4FAIR.
