Time-delayed and spatially nonlocal feedback control of front or pulse propagation — •Anna Kuznetsova, Markus A. Dahlem, and Eckehard Schöll — Institut für Theoretische Physik, TechnischeUniversität Berlin, Berlin, Germany

We study spatio-temporal dynamics of front or pulse propagation in reaction-diffusion systems with time-delayed or spatially non-local feedback control in one spatial dimension. We consider one- or two-variable reaction-diffusion models with cubic nonlinearity (the Schlögl model and the FitzHugh-Nagumo model). We investigate the effects of a time-delayed and spatially nonlocal feedback control on the speed of the front or pulse propagation in dependence on the time scale separation parameter ε and construct bifurcation diagrams as a function of ε.
