MAGIC, a system of two imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes, is designed to observe the Cherenkov light produced by air showers initiated by cosmic gamma rays. In order to extract the measured amount of Cherenkov light precisely, it is necessary to perform a flat-fielding and calibration of the camera. We perform this calibration by means of pulsed UV laser which flashes the camera from a 17m distance. The calibration box has several useful features like, for example, a set of two rotating attenuation filters, and has been extensively checked to provide a homogenous and stable amplitude to the camera. Details of the development and performance of the newly developed calibration box will be reported in this talk.
