Search for e-µ resonances with the CMS detector — •Metin Ata, Thomas Hebbeker, and Arnd Meyer — III. Physikalisches Institut A, RWTH Aachen

Since 2010 the LHC accelerator is performing excellently, delivering collision data with constantly rising instantaneous luminosity at a center of mass energy of 7 TeV. The high energy and the large amount of data pave the road to probe new theories with the CMS detector. One of the main goals of the CMS detector is the search for "new physics" beyond the Standard Model.

This talk presents the search for neutral Lepton Family Violating (LFV) processes with e-µ final state. The theories of the considered models are discussed shortly as well as the experimental challenges. The invariant mass is used to test signatures that are not predicted by the Standard model.
