The investigation of the hyperon-nucleon interactions at regions of high densities beyond ordinary nuclei is crucial for our understanding of nuclear astrophysics. For instance, the high-density equation of state (EoS), which dominates the dynamics of neutron stars, can be affected by the presence of hyperons in a dense matter. The in-medium interactions between nucleons and hyperons are still little understood. A promising tool to investigate not only the hyperon-nucleon, but also the hyperon-hyperon interactions is provided by multi-strange hypernuclei. Single- and double-Λ hypernuclei can be produced in reactions induced by heavy-ions and particularly in reactions induced by p-beams, which are one of the main tasks (HypHI and PANDA collaborations) at the future FAIR facility at GSI. Here we present calculations concerning the in-medium dependences of hyperon-nucleon scattering, which result as the solution of the in-medium Bethe-Salpeter equation. For the first time, transport calculations predicting the formation and production of single- and double-Λ hypernuclear systems on a quantitative level in reactions relevant for FAIR are presented and discussed in detail.
