Measurement of top quark polarisation in the dileptonic decay channel of tt events with the ATLAS detector — •Ralph Schäfer1,2, Yvonne Peters1,2, Cécile Deterre1, and Sara Borroni11DESY, Hamburg — 2Universität Göttingen

At hadron colliders, top quarks are produced unpolarised, but in models beyond the standard model a measurable polarisation of the top quarks may appear. In particular, various models predicting a tt asymmetry larger than the standard model, as has been measured at the Tevatron, predict a non-zero top quark polarisation. Using 4.7 fb−1 of 7 TeV ATLAS data, we perform a measurement of the top quark polarisation in dileptonic tt events. We use angular distributions between the lepton and the top quark after reconstructing the full ttbar events using a neutrinoweighting technique.
