Investigation of Final States with Anti-Deuterons in e+e Collisions at Belle — •Diego Semmler, Wolfgang Kühn, Sören Lange, and Milan Wagner — II. Physikalisches Institut, Justus Liebig Universität Gießen

Anti-nuclei can be produced in e+e-collisions. Such events are rare but a rather clean identification is possible via dE/dx (Bethe-Bloch formula). We present results of a new identification technique calculating (a) the charge from dE/dx and ToF and (b) the mass from momentum (via track curvature) and ToF. 2303 anti-deuteron candidates have been found and analyzed.

We search for the evidence of possible inclusive decays of anti-hyper-nuclei (e.g. Λ3He nucleus, observed by the STAR experiment), deeply bound kaonic clusters, B-mesons and Upsilon resonances into anti deuterons, and in particular the decay of B0 into d d and B± into K± d d. As a control channel the decay B± into K± p p is observed. For the reaction Υ(1S) and Υ(2S) → d + anything branching ratios are calculated and agree with the PDG value. For Υ(3S) the branching ratio is measured for the first time.
