On precision calculations in nonleptonic B-decays — •Tobias Huber — Theoretische Physik 1, Universität Siegen

Nonleptonic exclusive decays of B(s) mesons play a decisive role in quantifying the amount of CP violation, one of the most subtle phenomena of flavour physics. The wealth of experimental data from flavour-factories and hadron colliders will yield continually more precise measurements of numerous observables for more than a hundred different final states of nonleptonic decays. The high precision of experimental data clearly justifies every effort to obtain also more accurate theoretical predictions for nonleptonic B-decays. The theoretical description of nonleptonic decays is complicated by QCD effects which stem from many different energy scales within and between the purely hadronic initial and final state. By means of factorisation theorems these effects can be separated into short-distance and long-distance contributions, allowing higher-order perturbative calculations to be performed in a systematic way. I will present the latest status of the calculation of two-loop corrections to exclusive nonleptonic B-decays and discuss their phenomenological implications on a number of interesting observables. I will show results for branching ratios of tree-dominated decays, and state the progress on the calculation of the next-to-leading order direct CP asymmetry.
