Towards possible use in space for clocks on the ISS or custom satellites, we have developed a microwave-optical local oscillator. It is based on a reference resonator assembly for a Nd:YAG laser consisting of a 10 cm ULE cavity in a special holder allowing movement and tilt of the assembly. The laser instability is 3×10−15. Using a fiber frequency comb stabilized to the cavity-stablized laser, we have produced ultrapure microwaves. The characterization of the system will be presented.
