Mixed valence manganites are still in the focus of fundamental research due to their rich phase diagramm with different electronic and magnetic phases. Crucial for the understanding oft he physics of manganites ist he strong electron-phonon coupling due to the Jahn-Teller effect. Here we report on a detailed Raman study of (La0.65Pr0.45)0.7Ca0.3MnO3 thin films. To assign the observable Raman modes, we performed polarized Raman spectroscopy at room temperature (λ = 532 nm, P = 1.2 mW). We observed four pronounced modes at 235 cm−1, 434 cm−1, 485 cm−1 and 609 cm−1. The 485 cm−1 and 609 cm−1 mode can be assigned to an anti-stretching and stretching mode, respectively, due to the Jahn-Teller effect in agreement with previous work [1]. Furthermore, the temperature as well as magnetic field dependent Raman spectra show a correlation with the metall-insulator transition and the collosal magnetoresistance.
