Within the past decades teaching science combining curricular subject matter with artistic methods and processes has gained growing interest. Studies on "art-based learning" or "learning through the arts" have shown that such collaborations increase the students intrinsic motivation, students independent studies, immerged knowledge acquisition and long-term learning of the subject matter.

In the winter school semester of 2013/14 we conducted an art-based performance project with 13 to 16 year old pupils. We give insight into the interesting project structure, the processes of the different project phases and the project evaluation. It' time to galvanize!
