Radiation tolerance tests of scintillating fibres — •Laura Gavardi, Johannes Albrecht, Mirco Deckenhoff, and Robert Ekelhof — Experimentelle Physik 5, TU Dortmund

An upgrade of the LHCb detector is planned during long shutdown 2, which will take place from mid 2018 to the end of 2019. The proposed upgrade for the main tracking stations is a detector composed of scintillating fibres read out by silicon photomultipliers. The tracking detector will be working in an environment exposed to radiation, so that the resistance of the fibres to radiation is an important quality, which needs to be investigated. In this talk tests of scintillating fibres tolerance to radiation will be presented.
