Supersymmetry (SUSY) is one of the most interesting extensions of the Standard Model. In 2012, ATLAS has collected data with an integrated luminosity of ∼ 21 fb−1, testing SUSY beyond the TeV scale.

The final states at the LHC for many SUSY models are characterized by jets, missing transverse energy and ≥ 0 leptons. The 1 lepton final state provides a clean signature, high sensitivity and allows for good understanding of backgrounds using dedicated control regions.

The ATLAS collaboration has performed many SUSY searches using 8 TeV data, but has not yet found any convincing evidence for it. Instead the analyses have been used to set limits for specific SUSY models such as mSUGRA, and many simplified models. However, since the masses of the SUSY-particles and thus the kinematic of the final states, depends on the choice of the parameters, obtaining general results is challenging. Therefore, the analysis presented on this talk tries to be as model independent as possible. To do this, the parameters of the pMSSM - the phenomenological MSSM, that is a 19 parameters subspace of the MSSM, constrained by Dark Matter, Higgs mass and other non LHC experiments - are varied. The presentation shows the sensitivity of the 1 lepton analysis to pMSSM models and the definition of new signal regions to cover a larger area of the parameter space.
