Prospects for the measurement of Hbb, cc, gg at CLIC at 350 GeV — •Marco Szalay and Frank Simon — Max Planck Institut für Physik - München

Future e+e linear colliders provide excellent possibilities for a precise determination of the couplings of the Higgs boson. At 350 GeV, the two main production modes, Higgsstrahlung and vector-boson fusion, are accessible, providing information on both processes simultaneously. The flavour-tagging capabilities of the detector systems being developed for CLIC allow the separation of b, c and light jets, enabling a measurement of the decay of the Higgs boson to bottom and charm quarks as well as to gluons. Higgs candidate events are separated from background using multivariate analysis techniques. From the selected signal events, the branching ratios of the different decay modes are determined via a combined template fit which provides the full correlation information for the results, which can later on be propagated to combined fits of the Higgs couplings. Since the e+eHνν process receives contributions from both Higgsstrahlung and vector-boson fusion, the transverse momentum of the Higgs candidate is included as an additional dimension in the fit in addition to the flavour tagging information to determine the pure vector-boson fusion component of the signal. We will report the expected statistical uncertainties for cross-sections times branching fractions for H→ Jets for an integrated luminosity of 500 fb−1 at 350 GeV at CLIC, and also discuss the expected precision of the Higgs mass in those final states.
