Since the discovery of a Higgs-like boson in 2012 by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations at the LHC, studies of its properties and the associated mechanism have been of utmost importance. Yet it is well hidden under a huge amount of background events due to the small cross section of the Higgs production mechanisms and Drell-Yan processes dominating in the Higgs signal region. Separating the latter from the signal events is crucial for statistically significant statements. For this purpose a full reconstruction of the mother particle with a good resolution of the reconstructed mass is needed. In this paper we investigate new techniques for an improvement of the event reconstuction and separation power between the Higgs signal and its irreducible background in the di-tau decay channel.
