Determination of the normalised invariant mass distribution of tt+jet and extraction of the top-quark mass — •Simon Spannagel and Carmen Diez Pardos — DESY, Hamburg, Germany
A measurement of the top-quark mass from tt events with additional jets is performed using √s=8 TeV pp collision data recorded at the CMS experiment in 2012, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb−1. The measurements are performed in the dilepton decay channels (e+e−,µ+µ− and e±µ∓) of the top-antitop quark pairs. The mass is extracted from both the distribution and the normalised differential top-antitop quark cross section as a function of the reconstructed invariant mass of the tt+jet system.
