Qualitative analysis of enviromental samples from Kabul - Afghanistan — •Mohammad Rahmatullah TANHA — University of Hannover

To determine natural activity level and identify NORMs in Kabul, a complex geophysical research including radiometric method was conducted in the city and suburbs during 1981 - 1985. The research concluded a high level of gamma radiation of up to 3000 cps (SANTALIA SONY Pn-68-1 scintillator) in northern parts of Kabul. Currently residential houses have been built in these areas and are utilized for rock exploitation which is a safety alert for the resident and workers health.
