Precision theory simulations for the LHC — •Stefano Pozzorini — Zurich University

Recent technical progress in higher-order perturbative calculations, as well as in the matching of matrix elements to parton showers, has opened the door to precision theory simulations for an unprecedented range of scattering processes. This talk presents recent examples of precision simulations for non-trivial processes and discusses their relevance for the high-energy and high-luminosity phase of the LHC.
