Towards a CE-Phasemeter in the sw-IR Regime — •Danilo Zille, Daniel Adolph, Daniel Würzler, A. Max Sayler, Max Möller, and Gerhard G. Paulus — Institute of Optics and Quantum Electronics, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Max-Wien-Platz 1, 07743 Jena, Germany

Exposing atoms to short, intense laser pulses reveals a number of interesting effects in their photoelectron spectra. In the last 25 years much time and effort has been devoted to investigate and understand the nature of these phenomena at short wavelengths (~800nm). One of the most well-known effects, the existence of an ATI plateau and its CEP dependence, is the working principle of the current CE-Phasemeter.

Our goal is to build a similar phasemeter for short-wave infrared wavelengths (1 to 3 μm). To this end we investigate strong-field ionization of different alkalis with regard to their viability as a target gas. On this poster we present first results for sodium and rubidium at 1.8 μm.
