The distinction between localized and itinerant ferromagnetism is for some systems still a contentious issue. In Mn based Heusler systems it is usually assumed, that all the magnetic moments are localized at the Mn atoms. However it was shown, that in Cu2MnAl there exist different Fermi surfaces for the majority and minority spin channel and therefore also the conduction electrons contribute substantially to the the total magnetic moment [1]. Here we report our results obtained by comparing spin polarized 2D-ACAR measurements with recent magnetic Compton scattering measurements and with spin polarized positron lifetime experiments.
