Sr2RuO4 is an unconventional superconductor with a well characterised Fermi liquid normal state. It is known that one of its three conduction bands lies in close proximity to a Van Hove singularity and we show that by the application of uniaxial pressure the Fermi level can be made to traverse the Van Hove singularity. For the first time we can tune through this topological Liftshitz transition using a clean and continuous tuning parameter. We observe more than a factor of 2.3 enhancement of Tc and quantum critical behaviour in the normal state properties.
