Quantum master equations are an important tool in dealing with transport in open quantum systems. In this short lecture, I will give a survey of some basic and some more advanced topics, such as - master equations and correlation functions - full counting statistics - formulation of the second law - Floquet master equations under periodic driving - beyond the weak-coupling regime (in German or English depending on the audience).
