Many theoretical models Beyond the Standard Modell of Particle Physics motivate the existance of heavy gauge bosons (e.g. Z) as well as non-chiral (vector-like) quarks. These vector-like quarks receive their mass from direct mass terms and, therefore, are compatible with Higgs boson measurements. In this talk, the search for such a neutral heavy Z decaying via a top-like non-chiral quark into all hadronic final states will be presented. A general overview of the analysis within the CMS experiment and the analysis techniques will be given. Since Monte Carlo predictions for multijet final states are not very reliable for the probed center-of-mass-energy range of >1500 GeV/c2, special focus will be put on data driven background-estimation techniques.
