Glow curve simulation for multivariate analysis in the TL-DOS Project — •Florian Mentzel1, Robert Theinert1, Kevin Kröninger1, and Jörg Walbersloh2 — 1TU Dort- mund, Lehrstuhl für Experimentelle Physik IV, 44227 Dortmund — 2Materialprüfungsamt NRW, 44287 Dortmund
The Monitoring Service of the Materialprüfungsamt NRW and the TU Dortmund are developing a new dosimetry detector and readout sys- tem based on solid state thermoluminescence in doped LiF:Mg, Ti. Currently, the irradiation dose is estimated from the total number of photon counts within a range of interest during the readout process. Recent studies show the potential of a more precise dose reconstruction using glow curve deconvolution and modern analysis techniques. In order to perform new statistical analysis methods like multivariate analysis, there is a need for much more data. As the irradiation and readout process is time and resource consuming, a simulation approach is more viable. The talk presents the progress in the simulation model, a brief the- oretical background and possible applications of multivariate analysis in thermoluminescence dosimetry. It also includes a first comparison between the data and the simulations.
