The RadMap Telescope is a compact radiation monitor for low-energy particles that is scheduled for deployment to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019. It combines many advantages of particle detectors currently used in space radiation monitoring and overcomes many of their limitations. Because of its comprehensive measurements capabilities, its quasi-omnidirectional sensitivity, and the use of state-of-the-art reconstruction technologies, it will provide near real-time data not yet available through a single instrument. We will give an overview of the instrument’s capabilities, the current development status, and the operational scenario aboard the ISS.
