Identifying recombination mechanisms in perovskite solar cells — •Seth Niklas Schumann, Fabian Meier, Clemens Göhler, and Carsten Deibel — Institut für Physik, Technische Universität Chemnitz, 09126 Chemnitz, Germany

Organic-inorganic perovskite solar cells yield high power conversion efficiencies above 20 % at low manufacturing cost. The recombination of charge carriers influences the performance. We studied recombination in (FAPbI3)x(MAPbBr3)1−x, processed with a one step approach. To identify the dominant loss mechanism we measured the open circuit voltage and time-resolved photoluminescence as a function of the incident light intensity. We compare the resulting ideality factor and recombination lifetime of the samples with different FAPbI3 to MAPbBr3 ratios and discuss them with respect to the solar cell parameters.
