The German Research Foundation - Funding your Research — •Ellen Reister and Michael Mößle — Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, Bonn

The German Research Foundation (DFG) is Germany's largest research funding organization. With the headline "DFG 2020 - Because Research Matters" the DFG celebrates 100 years of research funding in Germany. We will therefore give a brief overview of the history of research funding through the DFG and its predecessor organisation. In the main part of the talk we will cover the DFG's different funding lines with particular emphasis on funding opportunities for early-career researchers like the new Walter Benjamin Programme. We will also focus on funding schemes for collaborative research across different institutions such as research units or priority programmes.
