Distinct Resonances in Absorption Spectra of Lead Halide-based Quantum Dots — •Anja Barfüßer, Quinten A. In recent years, perovskite nanocrystals have attracted much attention for their unique optical properties. Here, we discuss sphere-like lead halide-based quantum dots with diameters in the range of 4.5-12 nm featuring a multitude of distinct resonances in their absorption spectra. We have investigated the nature of these resonances by comparing experimental data with model calculations based on weak and strong confinement. In transient absorption experiments, bleaching and induced absorption signals are observed, which we discuss in terms of confined excitons and biexcitonic contributions.
