Perovskites with their characteristic structure ABX3 are widely known for their usage in photovoltaics and photonics due to their outstanding opto-electronic properties in terms of absorption coefficient and long charge carrier lifetime. Since lead bromide perovskites are also known for their large exciton binding energy and oscillator strength, they have attracted interest in the field of polaritonics for e.g. condensation at room temperature.

This work focuses on MAPbBr3 and lead-free double-perovskite Cs2AgBiBr6. We conducted photoluminescence- and lifetime measurements to gain insight into the optical properties of spin-coated thin-films. We also show our results in the investigation of strong coupling between excitons and confined photons at room temperature in different microcavity designs.
