Optical lattices are a versatile platform for studying complex and highly correlated quantum many-body systems. For most experiments, the layout of the confining lattice beams restricts the accessible lattice geometries and the underlying physics. We recently overcame this challenge by introducing a passively phase-stable tunable lattice, which offers programmable cell connectivity and flexible geometries, including square, triangular, Lieb, and Kagome lattices [1]. In this poster, we present our tunable lattice geometries and demonstrate out-of-equilibrium quantum walks for different settings. Furthermore, we introduce a new upgrade that will enable mid-sequence tunabilty, allowing for doublon and spin-resolved imaging. In addition, we discuss cooling techniques that will boost the overall preparation time for ultracold atoms in optical lattices.
