Induced magnetism on non-magnetic single isolated radioactive Cd probe atoms were investigated on Ni surface orientations (111) and (001). Using the perturbed angular correlation spectroscopy (PAC), atomic resolution is achieved. Different atomic surface sites have differing Ni coordination numbers, (i.e. the number of Ni nearest neighbors). Recently, a study was made on the coordination number dependence of the induced magnetic hyperfine field of non-magnetic Cd atoms on Ni (001) and (111) surfaces, the results demonstrate a continuous nonlinear dependence of the induced magnetic hyperfine field [1]. In this contribution, we show that for Cd probe atoms having the same coordination number at sites on different surface orientations and even with different surface symmetry, the induced magnetic hyperfine field is the same at these sites.
