Anomalous rare earth and actinide compounds, including the so called Kondo lattices and heavy fermion systems are studied extensively by both experimentalists and theorists. Especially cerium based compounds are investigated because of the fluctuations in the f-shell. These fluctuations strongly modify the low-temperature properties. CeCu2 is a Kondo lattice compound which shows antiferromagnetic ordering at TN=3.5K. The magnetic cerium moments are aligned along the c-axis and oriented antiparallel to each other. The direction of easy magnetisation is the a-direction. A possible scenario for such a behavior is that the antiferromagnetic exchange is strongly anisotropic in the nearly hexagonal ac-plane and competes with the crystal field (CF) anisotropy. For a comprehensive explanation of all measured effects it is necessary to determine the complete set of crystal field parameters. A good set should be able to describe all macroscopic measurements and the neutron spectroscopy data of the crystal field transitions. We present the inelastic measurements of the CF-transitions with polarized neutrons providing detailed informations about the CF-transtion matrix elements.
