Phototransformation of bulk C60-fullerite in air as well as laser and electron beam C60-film treatments, leads to the appearance of measurable ferromagnetic signals obtained with the SQUID. Nonlinear magnetization is observed only for the samples irradiated in the presence of oxygen, while in the case of pressure-polymerized C60 oxygen adversely affects the magnetic properties. Magnetic force microscopy clearly shows that the processes of laser and electron beam irradiation are followed by changes in magnetic images. Laser and electron beam illumination enhances the roughness of the films producing clusters. The magnetic images appear for all spotted areas. These images are highly correlated with the topographic. The size of topographic clusters depends on the laser and electron beam energy. By choosing the appropriate laser and electron beam energy as well as the laser wavelength, it will be possible to create magnetic images on fullerene films.
