We have performed STS investigations at room temperature on clean metallic Uranium epitaxially grown on the (110) surface of a single tungsten crystal. This system is known to present an hcp phase where the band structure is dominated by 5f states [1]. The STS spectra on high islands and thick films are in good agreement with the results of calculations based on the four components relativistic local density approximation. The calculated DOS and decay of the states into the vacuum indicate that the features in the STS are related with 5f-states in the Uranium film. [1] S.L. Molodtsov et al. PRB 57, 13241 (1998)
