Turbulence — •Siegfried Großmann — Philipps-Universität Marburg, FB Physik, Renthof 6, 35032 Marburg

Large Reynolds number fluid flow is turbulent. Various unique features of turbulence have been explored recently, including anomalously huge diffusion and particle pair dispersion, intermittent multifractality in space and time, unifying principles in turbulent heat transport, and the intricate, complex dynamics, which designes the turbulence onset despite linear stability of laminar shear flow. Selected examples will be addressed in the talk, which is devoted to the progress in the physics of turbulence.
