We study the reaction-diffusion processes A + A → ∅ and A + B → ∅ on uncorrelated, disassortative, and assortative scale-free networks. A method to suitably compare the pattern formation on these different networks is developed. We apply this method to quantify the residual pattern formation occurring on uncorrelated networks. The analogous analysis of disassortative and assortative networks shows that degree correlations substantially alter the dynamical behavior and that such topological correlations yield an enhanced pattern formation.
