LaRu4As12 belongs to the filled skutterudite compounds which show a wide variation in physical properties such as metal-insulator transition, unconventional superconductivity, and quadrupolar or magnetic ordering [1]. It shows enhanced superconducting properties as compared to other skutterudite superconductors (Tc=10.45 K and Hc2≈10.2 T) and, more importantly, multiple superconducting gaps have been inferred from the magnetic-field dependence of the specific heat and a positive curvature of Hc2(T) close to Tc making LaRu4As12 a rare example of a cubic superconductor displaying multiband effects [2]. We investigated the angular dependence of the dHvA effect using the capacitive torque method at temperatures down to 30 mK and in fields up to 18 T. Effective masses for different bands were determined expecting rather heavy masses due to a high electronic specific-heat coefficient γ = 59 mJ/mol K2. In combination with band-structure calculations our results will provide a detailed picture of the Fermi surface and the electronic correlations.
