Non-equilibrium dynamics of interacting bosons has been explored intensely in recent experiments in both cold atoms and quantum optical systems. We study the driven Bose-Hubbard model with one-body loss in two dimensions for both spatially homogeneous and inhomogeneous coupling to the environment. We describe dissipation by coupling the system to a Markovian bath in terms of a Lindblad master equation for the reduced density operator. In our work we analyse the steady states of such systems, in particular we consider steady states that exhibit constant particle currents supported by inhomogeneous coupling to the environment. Furthermore, we investigate the effect of the bath parameters on the occurence of constant currents.
