Real time dynamics of Majorana bound states — •Michael Sekania1, Felix Weiner2, Ronny Thomale1, and Peter Schmitteckert21Institute for Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics, Julius-Maximilian University of Würzburg, Am Hubland, D-97074 Würzburg, Germany — 2Institute of Nanotechnology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, D-76344 Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen, Germany

Majorana fermions have been attracting substantial interest during recent years. Considerable attention is devoted to the robust and unambiguous probing of Majorana bound states and the error-tolerant manipulations of them, particularly in the view of possible applications in topological quantum computing. Here we present the investigation of the real-time dynamics of the Majorana bound states in different lattice geometries and discuss application of the real-time simulations in a context of braiding of Majorana fermions.
