Search for supersymmetry in final states with jets and two same-charge or three leptons with the ATLAS detector — •Martina Pagacova, Jan Erik Sundermann, and Tobias Rave — Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Freiburg, Deutschland

The ATLAS detector is investigating a wide range of physics, including physics beyond Standard Model. A particular effort has been devoted to exploring the phase space of various supersymmetric models. A search for strongly produced supersymmetric particles decaying into final states with a pair of leptons (electron or muon) of the same electric charge, or three leptons, is presented. The analysis uses a data sample corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb−1 of proton-proton collisions. In order to extend its sensitivity, several kinematic variables, such as jet and b-jet multiplicities, missing transverse momentum and effective mass, are used to separate the signal from Standard Model background. The emphasis will be given to the background estimation techniques.
