Radiation test of CMOS readout chips for the CMS pixel detector upgrade. — •Ganna Dolinska, Ievgen Korol, and Daniel Pitzl — De. Elektronen-Synchrotron

A new version of the CMS pixel readout chip is being developed in 0.25 um CMOS technology for the phase I upgrade later in this decade. An integrated luminosity of 500 fb−1 corresponds to radiation doses from 0.15 MGy in the 4th barrel layer to 1 MGy in the layer at 3 cm inner radius, which is beyond the specifications of the present chip in the same technology. Prototype chips have been irradiated with 23 MeV protons up to doses of 2 MGy. The results from measurements of power, thresholds, noise, timewalk, and pulse height tuning before and after irradiation will be presented.
