ATLAS SUSY search in 0-lepton channel with boosted W bosons — •Tomas Javurek, Zuzana Rurikova, and Renaud Bruneliere — Uni Freiburg

The ATLAS detector is one of the detectors on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Since luminosity and energy increased last years its sensitivity reaches large region of the parametric space of several supersymmetric theories. Proton-proton collision could be therefore followed by decay chains including supersymmetric particles. One example of supersymmetric particle is chargino which can decay to W boson and neutralino. W bosons decaying to two quarks can be reconstructed via invariant mass and their appearance can be required to trigger an interesting event. In case that mother boson has large momentum, daughter quarks can be highly boosted such that they are detected as only one jet in the detector. Both either high or less boosted bosons are searched in order to increase the signal/background ratio.
