Hard sphere electrolyte solution at charged wall — •Maximilian Mußotter1, Markus Bier2, and S. Dietrich11Max-Planck Institut für Intelligente Systeme und Universität Stuttgart, 70569 Stuttgart, Germany — 2University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, 97421 Schweinfurt, Germany

Although widely used, upon advancing from electrically neutral fluids and uncharged subtrates, the assumption of homogeneous wall-fluid interactions is questionable beyond molecular length scales when studying fluids comprising electrically charged constituents and charged walls. Therefore, the intention of this work was to gain further insight in the effects occurring at non-uniformly charged substrates. The system is studied by means of classical density functional theory, within the framework of fundamental measure theory using the WBI-functional. The goal of this work was to introduce a basic machinery to study the effects of nonhomogeneously charged surfaces.
