Guiding robots to fulfillment — •Daniel Winzen — Safelog GmbH

The importance of optimized intralogistics is of growing importance in our modern society. A vital part of current applications are mobile robots (AGV) that autonomously fulfill highly repetitive transport tasks in modern industry 4.0 factories. SAFELOG GmbH is one of the leading European AGV suppliers developing AGVs since 2015, most notably providing more than 550 AGVs for Daimlers flagship factory ``Factory 56''. Physicists provide a unique skillset between programming, analysis, and research skills needed to develop and implement such complex systems. I will provide insights into my various tasks and responsibilities within the company that strongly expanded since I started as a project software developer in 2020.
